About Lily Iatridis
As a former public school teacher from the Washington, D.C. area, I’ve experienced the best and the worst in presentations – both my own and others.
A few years ago, after attending a seminar with an obviously talented professional who had a valuable message and couldn’t get it across effectively, I felt a surge of inspiration. It was a combination of compassion and the “old” teacher in me – if that presenter had known more, he could have delivered a far more compelling message and his audience (including me) would have been more satisfied with the results. And, needless to say, he would have probably gotten more business from it because I could see that he knew his business.
There are three keys to presenting any message: planning out your presentation, developing the message complete with visuals and hand-outs, and interacting with the audience with your authentic persona. That probably sounds simplistic, especially because public speaking is something many people fear and actively avoid, but it’s vital to understand how to perform better when your livelihood rides on it. That day, I resolved to help independent service professionals by sharing my proven methods to keep people engaged in what you have to say. I help my clients to be fully prepared to say what they want to say effectively and to handle even the toughest audience.
By helping my clients to avoid the “crash course trial by fire” method of public speaking, they achieve more success as a result of their presentations. My philosophy is what you put in is what comes back, so make it your best. While I believe that applies to pretty much everything in life, it’s especially true for professional presentations. That’s why I don’t just teach clients how to prepare a presentation, I actually roll up my sleeves and get into their presentations myself. I like taking apart what isn’t working and make it a stronger message that people can actually hear and take action upon immediately.
The good news for me is that I get to do two things I love—connecting with other people, and helping them connect with their audience. Thank you for visiting my site. I would love to hear about your speaking experiences and the turning points of your life (like mine, which led to the creation of this business). Please send me an email at Lily@FearlessDelivery.com . I forward to hearing from you!
